Lesson 100: Caring for Leopard Geckos
Leopard geckos are very fun pets. I have never had one, but my siblings each have one for a pet. Leopard geckos make good pets, because they can live for about 15-20 years and don’t get very big. It is also easy to take care of them. In this paper, I will talk about how to take care of leopard geckos.
Leopard geckos like to live alone, and they need a tank that is about 20 gallons. They need a tank that stays around 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit in the day and night, so you can use lightbulbs to keep the tank at the right temperature. They need lots of places to hide, and a place that is humid. Leopard geckos eat worms, cockroaches, crickets, and even baby mice, but we only feed our leopard geckos crickets and worms. They eat about 3 times a week. Leopard geckos are nocturnal, so they are active at night. They also shed their skin about once a month. After they shed their old skin, they eat it. As long as you feed them, keep their tank clean, and make sure they are warm, they can live for a very long time.
Leopard geckos are very fun and interesting pets. They are easy and adorable little creatures. I am happy that I got to share what I have learned about leopard geckos with you.
