Lesson 155: Project One Review
This week I did a citizen science project on Zooniverse. I was observing animals in the Serengeti National Park in Africa. Scientists are trying to learn more about the animals in the national park. They set little cameras out to see if any animals will come around the area. Some do not, but many do. I am helping the scientists by giving them data like what kinds of animals were around the cameras and what they were doing. The scientists get all of their data from other kids like me on the Zooniverse website. My involvement helps the scientists by figuring out the kinds of animals in the videos, and answering some of their questions, so they do not have to be constantly watching the videos.
