Lesson 17-Observing Bees

I found a bee that was pollinating. The bee was hovering on the pink roses. It flew away, but after awhile another bee would fly to the pink roses. Then this happens all over again. From what I learned about bees, when they are hovering on flowers, they are sucking nectar with their tongues and bringing it back to the hive to make honey. Flowers use the bees to pollinate. The stamen part of the flower is the part that makes pollen, and it is the male part of the flower. The pollen sticks to the bees, and they move it to the pistol of the flower, which is the female part of the flower. Then the flower can make seeds and produce more plants. So, bees and flowers work together to produce more plants.
