Lesson 46: Observing Great Horned Owl

           The Great Horned owl is an awesome animal. They can reach 25 inches long with a 5 ft long wingspan. They have the largest and most powerful eyes of all land animals. Owls can live over 30 years in captivity. Their feathers cover the legs, the feet, and down to the talons. It uses its feet to squeeze its prey to death. Owls can’t look around with their eyes, so they are able to turn their heads any way they want. I thought these animals were very fascinating. I’m happy that I got to share about them with you.
