Lesson 53: Observing White and Black Swans
Today I learned about black and white swans. Black swans are black with a red bill and are native to Australia. There is a big variety of white swans. Some white swans have a black bill, and others can have a yellow bill, and some even have both. Adult swans mate for life and produce three to five young each year. Baby swans are called swanlings. Tundra swans leave their swanlings all alone if they don’t know how to fly for migration. Swans eat aquatic vegetation, small fish, frogs, and worms. That’s all I learned about swans today.
